Living A Life That Begins With A Transformed Mind
We learn that a revelation is never interrupted through our natural mind. The carnal mind (the nous: the thoughts, understanding, feelings, will, and emotions) is hostile and in direct opposition to the spiritual mind (the will, thoughts, plans, and purposes of God).
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
~1 Cor. 2:14
Before you will be able to believe God to give you a debt-free life, your mind must be renewed to His Word. Paul said: 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Rom. 12:2. Renewing your mind involves adjusting your thoughts, will, emotions, and desires to the mind of God. Paul exhorts us: 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind. Ephesians 4:23.
As long as you allow your mind to be focused on your problems, it will be filled with negative thoughts, hopelessness, despair, and defeat. On the other hand, when your mind is being continually renewed by God’s Word and His promises, you will not be afraid. You will be able to stand, in faith, and believe that He will enable you to pay off your debts.
He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. 8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
