God Looks At Your Heart - Are You Faithful

What are the blessings that God has placed in your hands? Like the widow, who only had two mites, you may have very little of the world’s riches. However, God requires you to be faithful with what you have.

And He called unto Him His disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury. 44For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

~Mark 12:43-44

God is not only aware of your financial circumstances, but He observes how and what you give. He knows whether or not you give liberally, in proportion to what He has given you, or if you give sparingly, withholding your best from Him.

When you give, God looks far beyond what you give to see your motive and purpose. He knows whether you give willingly or reluctantly because you have been pressured and compelled to give. He also looks deep into your heart to see whether you are giving with wrong motives—to be seen or to gain praise and recognition from others, to gain a position of prestige and power, or because you love the Lord.

God requires you to be faithful. Everything that you have is not your own. It all belongs to God. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich. Rom. 8:9. The types of unselfish, wholehearted giving to God, which the widow demonstrated, is God’s requirement of us today. We must be willing to say to God: All that I have is Yours Lord. I give it all back to You. Use it for Your Glory. He has only made you a steward of it. One day, you will give an account before Him for what you did with it. 11It is written: “As surely as I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow before Me; every tongue will confess to God.”

So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.

~Rom. 4:12

Love you and the Blessings of God be upon you.
