CHRIST GAVE YOU FREE ACCESS TO GOD
Christ, our great High Priest, went into the Holy of Holies (the throne room of Almighty God) and sprinkled His blood upon the Mercy Seat for the atonement of the sins of mankind. The tabernacle, the priests, and the sacrifices that the children of Israel had offered for the atonement of their sins were only a foreshadow of that which would be accomplished through Christ.
Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the Holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
The high priest had to enter the Holy of Holies every year to offer sacrifices for the sins of the people, but it was not necessary for Christ to offer Himself again and again as a sacrifice. 11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the Holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Heb. 9: 11-12. Through His one ultimate sacrifice, we are cleansed and released from the bondages of sin. Through the shedding of Christ’s shed blood and the sprinkling of it before God on the Mercy Seat, we have free access to come boldly before the very throne of God! We are reconciled into full fellowship with God! We are cleansed of every sin and set free from all guilt and condemnation! 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Heb. 9:14.
Christ is now seated on the right hand of the Father. He is waiting for His enemies to be made as a stool beneath His feet!
But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God. 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
