A SHIFT OF CHANGE – ARE YOU POSITIONED
The Apostles began to speak of eternal life, salvation (redemption, deliverance), forgiveness (mercy, reconciliation), and other themes. To speak of salvation is to speak of the Kingdom. The Kingdom of God is Righteousness and Peace and Joy in the Holy Spirit. 17 (as it is written [in Scripture], “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the sight of Him in whom he believed, that is, God who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist. Rom. 4:17.
When we were made in the image of God – we were already prepared as Kingdom minded creations. Sin came deliberate (intentional, calculated) and caused death to the likeness of God in mankind. 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]. 2 Cor. 5:17
As believers, Faith is the epitome (essence, embodiment, example) of understanding and progressing in the Kingdom. Faith cannot be purchased or sold! Faith is defined as a, belief in, devotion (devoted) to, or trust in somebody or something with logical proof. To see a Kingdom mindset established, we must operate in complete faith in God and His Kingdom. 11Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]. Heb. 11:1
Remember, many of your desires are normal and good, but God wants you to satisfy them in the right way and at the right time. Jesus was able to resist all of the devil’s temptations (fear, panic, weary, doubt and unbelief) because he not only knew Scripture, but He also obeyed it. God’s Word is a sword to use in spiritual combat. Knowing Bible verses is an important step in helping us resist the devil’s attacks, but we must also obey the Bible. Satan had memorized Scripture, but he failed to obey it. Knowing and obeying the Bible helps us follow God’s desires rather than the devils.
Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
